Chef D's Rock Power Pizza

     Chef D’s Rock Power Pizza has garnered nationwide attention from the owner Derrick Walton’s appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." Walton was asked to come on the show after word spread that he shuts down the restaurant and serves free meals to the homeless every Monday.

     The pizzeria offers a wide variety of burgers, sandwiches, personalized and signature pizzas, calzones, appetizers, soups, salads and hot dogs. Chef D’s Rock Power Pizza has a lengthy list of ingredients suited to appease its many customers.

     The restaurant welcomes everyone and provides a family-friendly atmosphere. Carryout is also available.

 

Hours: Closed Sunday and Monday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Free meals for the homeless 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.

Top left: Rock Power Pizza was opened by Derrick Walton, Chef D, who was once homeless.  Chef D opened the pizza place at the beginning of 2014 and was given a $10,000 donation from Ellen DeGeneres.

Top right: Every Monday night from 5 p.m.-8 p.m., Rock Power Pizza feeds homeless people for free.  Chef D was once a homeless man and wants to give back and be that hope for other homeless people.
